4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Another fine brew from the folks at Rahrís! This brew poured up a rich black-colored body with a thick, creamy tan-colored head with good retention and lacing. Aromas of smoked/charred wood, espresso coffee, roasted malts, dark/bitter chocolates. Flavors of the same and so well-balanced. Near full-bodied, smooth and creamy, good carbonation with a nice dry almost oak-like flavor on the finish. Canít wait to pair this one up with some stuffed dove or some savory squirrel gumbo!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This beer has an awesomely terrible name and label. Iím into it. Itís a deep brown with a scant white head. The smoke here is done just right. Itís a compliment to the chocolate smooth roast flavor rather than a distraction. The palate here is medium to full but w/o any real richness or velvety texture. This is a strong beer and it shows on a bit of sweetness but itís still rather drinkable. Itís a good beer.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Fruity, stale hops, cardboard, little smoke if at all, hard to detect under the oxidized hops, and thatís strange considering this just hit shelves here, fairly lack luster. Hides the alcohol very well though. A little high priced too for being a simple brewpub off the rack beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
650 ml bottle from Bvmo. Pours an opaque black color with a medium tan head that slowly recedes to a fine film. The aroma is moderately smoky and sweet. The taste was lightly smoky with a stout/porter character that was both sweet and earthy. I get sweetened coffee, leather, dirt, biter walnuts and smoked chubs. The palate was just a bit thinner than I would prefer with soft carbonation. Finished medium in duration and sweet. Overall: Nice little smoked concoction, Iíd drink it again.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled in the big bottle. Pours with a big aroma with the smoke. Drinks super malty. Worth a try but this brew is a bit on the harsh side. Not even great sipping.

22 oz bottle. Pours dark brown/black with tan head. Aroma of smoked, dark roasted grain and malt. Flavor of rich dark roast, smoke, semi-sweet chocolate with a dark roast bitter in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium-heavy body with high carbonation. Solid brew!

Pours dark brown ruby red with a fluffy, tan head. Smells smokey and chocolaty. Tastes strongly smokey with undertones of chocolate and roastiness. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and faint mouth-carbonation, Ass Kisser Porter Pounder Smoked Porter finishes with a smokey dryness.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Lightly sharp and smokey aroma. Dark amber color with a large tan head. Light bitterness in the beginning that lasts. Sweet and smokey come through in the middle with a creamy palate for the finish.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 oz. Nearly opaque with a ruby tint and a small disc of creamy foam. Nose is last nightís campfire with some coffee notes. Flavor is similar, with some tingly green herb notes, iodine, cocoa, and salty wood. Light-medium body feels a bit thin because itís too fizzy.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Nice! Campfire smoke nose. Dark brown, modest head with clingy lacing. Pleasing smoky flavors with a little caramel behind it, balanced finish with a lingering smoke, maybe a touch too sweet, pushing toward cloying. But overall pretty good. Hard to believe its 8% until I get toward the end of the bomber when I can start to feel it, and thereís an spiritous component to the finish.
