Sampled in the big bottle. Pours with a big aroma with the smoke. Drinks super malty. Worth a try but this brew is a bit on the harsh side. Not even great sipping.

22 oz bottle. Pours dark brown/black with tan head. Aroma of smoked, dark roasted grain and malt. Flavor of rich dark roast, smoke, semi-sweet chocolate with a dark roast bitter in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium-heavy body with high carbonation. Solid brew!

Pours dark brown ruby red with a fluffy, tan head. Smells smokey and chocolaty. Tastes strongly smokey with undertones of chocolate and roastiness. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and faint mouth-carbonation, Ass Kisser Porter Pounder Smoked Porter finishes with a smokey dryness.

Lightly sharp and smokey aroma. Dark amber color with a large tan head. Light bitterness in the beginning that lasts. Sweet and smokey come through in the middle with a creamy palate for the finish.

22 oz. Nearly opaque with a ruby tint and a small disc of creamy foam. Nose is last night’s campfire with some coffee notes. Flavor is similar, with some tingly green herb notes, iodine, cocoa, and salty wood. Light-medium body feels a bit thin because it’s too fizzy.

Nice! Campfire smoke nose. Dark brown, modest head with clingy lacing. Pleasing smoky flavors with a little caramel behind it, balanced finish with a lingering smoke, maybe a touch too sweet, pushing toward cloying. But overall pretty good. Hard to believe its 8% until I get toward the end of the bomber when I can start to feel it, and there’s an spiritous component to the finish.

Bomber from State Line. Pours deep brown with ruby through light and off-khaki head. Nose is great smoked malt, cacao. Tastes rich, extremely rauchy, dark malty, with notes of cacao, coffee, peppery oil, and a smooth finish. This one is great.

Another shared bottle thanks to ScottyP. Pours black with a brown head. Aroma of smoke and chocolate. Taste is nice and smoky with some burnt malt and coffee with sweet milk chocolate flavor to balance well.

Bomber. Pours a very very dark amber with sturdy beige head. The aroma is a very sweet type of smoke, with some chocolate and beef notes. The flavor is more porter than smoke (but I have a pretty high threshold for smoke). Bitter chocolate, some raisin, some woody notes. The beefy smoke notes come mostly toward the finish, as the aroma wafts backwards into my sinuses. Leaves a dry bitter chocolate aftertaste. Not bad.
