4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Beautiful dark clear brown pour with good sticky creamy tan head. Good smokey nose and roasty smokey flavor. Not bacony or meaty. More like a peaty smoke. Rich cocoa flavors with a semi bitter malt finish. Medium chewy body. Good beer, good label. good price. Damn near perfect trifecta!

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
dark brown, thin cream head with small bubbles, decent lacing. Nose is cereal, light roast, almost lagerish in flakey grain notes. Flavor of soap, more lager, heavy roar through finish. Structural mess, style problems.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thanks to Cavie for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a dark brown color with a white head. The aroma is heavy on the meaty smoke with a little bit of heavily roasted malts mixed in. The flavor is more of the same. I get a lot of smoke with some chocolate and roasted malt. You can taste the base porter behind the heavy smoked notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from kings. The appearance is clear yet reddish brown and dark. It also forms a solid off-white color.
The aroma is quite smoky and beefy. One whiff of this and your stomach will growl. There is a large chocolate malt aroma also. Smells pretty nice.
Flavor is roasted malts, dry bitter and a dark bakers chocolate. It finishes fairly roasty. Ok I’m down with this.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very dark reddish brown, brownish beige head. Lightly smokey aroma, with a bit of chocolate in the background. Flavor is not as smokey as I was expecting, but still plenty of smoke. Chocolate and coffee, as well, with notes of vanilla coming through as it warms. Not bad.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Black with a large tan head. Aroma is very smoky, reminiscent of good smoked meat. Flavor is fairly intense smoke front with a sweet backing. Mouthfeel could be a bit thicker though, not bad but not the best smoked porter out there.
