4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Strong, pleasing aroma is smoky and oily with hints of hops and licorice, demanding a taste. It pours a deep, rich sable with a decent light tan head. Flavor is smoky with definite tones of burnt wood, malt and molasses and a hint of caramel. Texture is thick, smooth and just a little tingly. This should please any porter fan!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
I picked up a bomber of this stuff from McScrooge’s because the word "smoked" was on the label. I knew you haters would start hatin’ and here we are with an 83 score given to a bitchin’ bad-ass brew. Why do ya’ll keep frontin’?! This is dope shit! fo real!!! Lots of meat and campfire in the nose with savory earthiness and bitterness which could be reminiscent of hard wood. Palate is full with lots of meat and roast all over the place. Ass Kisser has a long and steady dry finish with distinct bite, perhaps imparted by smart use of hops, and enough meaty goodness to keep me satisfied. If it was even more smoky I’d be losing my shit right now, but this is a fantastic beer as is. I’d buy it again except Schlenkerla is on the shelf right below it at a much cheaper price.

Bomber, bottled as "Smoked porter". Pours a dark bruin body with a tan head very thin with a light lacing. Aromatically malty and light smoke. Hints of oatmeal, malts, and light burnt malt. Bitter and roasty with a light pepper spice, roasted malt, and a hint of licorice. Bitter and dry. Alright.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Arden BevMo. Pours jet black with a nice tan head and a strong smoky aroma. There is a hearty treacle flavor with lots of smoke and a harsh bitter finish. Too smoky and too harsh. Otherwise, not bad.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber from the Natomas BevMo. Pours pretty black with a 3 finger foamy tan head. Aroma is fairly smokey, suggesting bacon to me. With wood. Med+ body with good carbonation. Flavor is woody, smokey, bacony. It’s dry and a little astringent. Very, very good.

I woke up one morning and looked around the room. Something wasn’t right. I realized that someone had broken in the night before and replaced everything in my apartment with an exact replica. I couldn’t believe it...I got my roommate and showed him. I said, "Look at this--everything’s been replaced with an exact replica!" He said, "Do I know you?"

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a nice, lively black with a healthy medium beige head. Aroma is chalky mocha, fresh coffee grounds, and a touch of dark chocolate. A thin whisp of smoke and campfire makes its presence known but doesn’t overpower. Flavor is a nice, upfront smoky wood and chocolate, with hints of pork and beans in a syrupy caramel coating. A bitter, assertive coffee essence rounds out each sip. Slightly chewy. A nice beer; not the best smoked ever but certainly better than average.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle shared. Dark clear brown, medium tan head. Aroma of coffee grounds and caramel. Taste is moderate smoke and a bit of bacon. Not sure why the smoke is in the flavor and not really in the aroma. This one got good reviews from friends.
