3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark brown pour with some ruby highlights and a medium tan head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of smoked malt and coffee. Medium body with a smokey character and notes of sweet malt, hops and chocolate. The finish is subtly smoked with a chocolate malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle. Clear dark brown with a frothy, tan head. Aroma of chocolate, smoke, caramel and coffee. Flavor is more chocolate and coffee with light smoke in the background and no alcohol taste. Medium to full body with a soft mouth feel. Solid smoked porter, the smoke is mild but itís there.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This wasnít as good as its rating. It pours o.k., dark brown and largely opaque, but the smoked qualities were thin and the best parts of a porter--chocolate, roast, etc. were pale reflections beneath a basically simple deep caramel maltiness. Tame porter, tame smoke. No wonder it was discounted from $8.99 to $2.99. Bottle.

3.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a strongly carbonated opaque, except at the edges, colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The aroma was mild with malt notes. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish with a biting roasted hoppy aftertaste. The yummy flavor contained notes of smoky roasted malt coffee and hops. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

Licorice character. Hints of smoke but not dominating. Was expecting a fuller flavour. A bit acidic.

Bottle: Poured black/brown with a thick tan colored head. Aroma is mocha coffee and chocolate. Hits the taste buds with coffee and slowly mellows to reveal smoke in the finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured a dark ruby/black with just under a finger of head. Aroma was of smoked bacon. Tasted had a mild smoke and roasted malts on the back end with a light mouthfeel. Carbonation was spot on for a porter as it did not have too much but enough to sparkle the tongue.

Black with almost purpleish tones.Slim head.Spotty minimal lacing. Looks oily and rich pouring it. Clear Sunburst tones upon mouth entry.
Aroma is smoke and sweet mullberry or some berry boysenberry with vanilla.Sweet pastry.
I would swear there is blueberry in this, its smokey sweet slick and smooth, bready/pastry smoothly malty, sweet smoke, some hidden roast its so smooth, lactose maybe milk chocolate. Not picking up much of any coffee but maybe hidden in its complexity. Good stuff right here.
