3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle... Clear black ale with flashes of crimson and a small, creamy, khaki head. The bouquet is chocolaty, nutty and smoky. Medium to full-bodied with tingly carbonation. The flavor is roasty, chocolaty and bittersweet. Burnt, moderately bitter finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured a dark ruby/black with just under a finger of head. Aroma was of smoked bacon. Tasted had a mild smoke and roasted malts on the back end with a light mouthfeel. Carbonation was spot on for a porter as it did not have too much but enough to sparkle the tongue.

Black with almost purpleish tones.Slim head.Spotty minimal lacing. Looks oily and rich pouring it. Clear Sunburst tones upon mouth entry.
Aroma is smoke and sweet mullberry or some berry boysenberry with vanilla.Sweet pastry.
I would swear there is blueberry in this, its smokey sweet slick and smooth, bready/pastry smoothly malty, sweet smoke, some hidden roast its so smooth, lactose maybe milk chocolate. Not picking up much of any coffee but maybe hidden in its complexity. Good stuff right here.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma of smoke and meat. A black pour with a non-lasting tan head and no lacing. The taste is multilayered - dark roasted malts, meat, nuts, hints of sweet dark fruit, with smoke flavors pervailing though the entire taste experience. Full bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth. Overal, this was a excellent porter, Loads of layers and loads of enjoyment.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Awesome look and smell but super smoky! It pours a deep brown with a nice tan head that dissolves into lacing. The aroma is sweet scent of chocolate with just a hint of smokiness. The taste, however, is the exact opposite. The smoke flavor dominates this beer with a subtle taste of chocolate at the finish. It’s interesting and fairly complex but just a tad overkill on the smoke flavor. Not bad.
