Golden coloured. Sweet, some bitterness and hop aroma. A clean, but one-dimensional international styl elager

One of the best Eastern European light lager that I’ve had (not exactly a ringing endorsement). Not terrible thin; medium head. Clean grainy taste, sweet only towards the end; slight licorice lingering taste. In a different league than Kamanitza and Okicim Lager.

It was a very nice and first-class beer during the past. Unfortunately, the belgian Interbrew - the owner of Astika Brewery - decided to stop the production of Astika. I heard some informations, there are plans for brewing again Astika!

This is really the best Bulgarian beer. If you have a chance to go to Bulgaria, you have to try this one. It is of real international quality. Unfortunately, it is not advertised so much and the brand is very poorly managed. But this beer is still the best!
