Thanks for this surprise, jonny! 12oz can. Pours a supremely chunky burnt orange with a thin, white cap. So many suspended chunks!!! They're settling into a swamp of grey matter. Aroma of maple, fruit juice, flowers. Taste is very bitter, with a tart balance. Super dry finish. Good carbonation.

Canned. Dark red-brown with a ton of multi sized particles floating throughout. Light tan head is massive, pillowy, and long lasting. Spicy pine resin nose with grapefruit zest, light graham cracker, and some mild cocoa. Moderately-high bitterness with a mildly sweet caramel malt backbone, though it definitely leans towards the bitter, leathery end of the spectrum. Resinous, sticky texture. Thanks to my in laws for bringing this back from Oregon!

Strong hop aroma a combo of floral and pine and citrus lurks. Really nice smell. Very hazy deep amber color with a white head that quickly filmed. The hop flavor is strong and mixed, at the start. Light carbonation. Full bodied. Good malt backbone. Dry, bitter finish of pine. Bold, and masks the alcohol quite well, a very great example of a beer that has fresh hops and a supremely backed up malt character. Nice! http://www.yelp.com/biz/wet-dog-cafe-astoria

Deep amber pour. The aroma is intensely hoppy. Fresh pine resin and spruce. Aggressive resinous bitterness. Enamel-peeling really. A little bit of fruit and a lot of bitterness. Pretty solid IIPA

†On tap at The Horse Brass Pub. Served in a 5 oz. taster. Appearance is dark amber, extremely hazy, with a thin, quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is sweet, hoppy, & subtle. Doesnít really explode with aroma. Flavor is bitter upfront, with a sweet mid-palate; bitter, resiny aftertaste in the finish. Mouthfeel is smooth, silky, easy to drink. Overall: not my cup of tea.

Growler from the brewpub. Outstanding Imperial India Pale Ale. Dry and bitter. Crisp with a bite from start to finish. Citrus grapefruit, caramel and pine flavors. Strong hops throughout. Long bitter finish, a bit harsh with a touch of an alcohol burn. Tasty!

A hazed amber copper ale with a thin moka head. In aroma, pleasant piney and floral hops, caramel malt, orange pulp, wild grass, quite nice. In mouth, an intense grassy hops with lingering bitterness, grapefruit, a bit agressive. On tap at OBF Fringe Fest Belmont Station, July 30 2011.

Hazy deep amber color, decent beige head, lace. Fruity, resiny hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied. Starts quite salty, woody, piney flavors, good bitterness, lingering licorice in the aftertaste. Quite good drinkability compared to IBUs and ABV. Good solid, "salty" DIPA. Piney flavor stays in your mouth for ages.
