Draft at Belmont Station: Pours a great looking orange amber color, slightly hazy, with a 1 finger white head. Mild malt and hop aroma does not smell that great. Flavor is malty and bitter, hops take over as it goes down, medium to high bitterness with nice semi spicy, dank and a bit pithy hop flavor. Very smooth with a medium thick mouthfeel, the malt balance is just right on this. Excelent IPA.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear light copper color with an off-white head. The floral hop aroma of flowers and perfume underlies the serious hops in the flavor. This is far more hoppy than most brewpub IPAS and I suspect would satisfy many hopheads. It has a strong grapefruit rind bitterness, resembling Sierra Nevada celebration. I don’t get the notes of orange and chocolate that I often get in a big IPA. The palate is also not as thick or smooth as some of this ilk, but it is still delicious.

In the end I liked this more than the Bitter Bitch. The hop profile is pine and resin, kind of like eating a tree. Good though bitter and fresh.

Not a bad single IPA...this beer is crisp and clean with all of the typical players in the game. Citrus and pine dominate with just a dash of malt to balance. Solid.

This has a very subtle, but very nice hop nose, lots of citrus fruits and melon here, with just a hint of resin on the palate. Fresh and fruity but stays clean on the palate. Medium bodied and has a well balanced bitterness. Good job.

Draft at the brewpub. Aroma of finest cat p---, or grapefruit, if you prefer. Hazy amber color with a creamy beige head that laced a little. Medium body with slightly biting carbonation. Grapefruit strongly over caramel. Finish is so hoppy. It’s certainly a cut above the average IPA.

Hazy amber. Very pleasing hop aroma. Lime, papaya, starfruit, mandarin...so lots of different directions. Lean, bitter, emminently fresh and fruity. The body actually gets a shade thin late but it’s pretty well thought-out, this one.

Hippity Hoppity for sure. I’m not sure if it was named after the location or Shark Saliva. It may not cure cancer like Shark Cartilage, but it handles well and finished great, livening up an otherwise dreary NW rainy Memorial Day.

Very well balanced IPA, definitely a hoppy brew. Appearance was that of an unfiltered ale (this probably was but I did not know).
