does not count epador (4), USA May 27, 2006 It pisses me off when they’re out! Smooth and strong, my favorite at this pub.
BOLTZ7555 (600), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Sep 28, 2008 Ruby red in color with an eggshell head and decent lacing. This one is interesting; nutty, chewy, roasted malt. The alcohol in this definitely more noticeable but not to it’s detriment. Caramel, toffee, brown sugar...good. KAggie97 (2024), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Sep 19, 2008 Tap at brewpub.<br />Pours a deep mahogany with a weak coffee roasted nut aroma. Flavor is slightly smoky chocolate and malt. Average mouthfeel. Not what I expected, but it’s still a nice beer. Probably would have liked it more had it not followed the powerhouse Bitter Bitch IPA. BlackDonald (1039), North Carolina, USA Aug 10, 2008 This has to be my favorite of all the beers here. Definitely has a firm nose of turbinado and sweet caramel malts, some fruity hop presence as well. Strong on the palate with the alcohol doing its best to stay in balace. Overall pretty clean and easy to drink, but very hearty. bhensonb (3138), Woodland, California, USA Dec 19, 2007 Draft at the brewpub. Malty aroma. Deep amber color with a yellowish beige head. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is grapefruit over caramel. Seems more towards an IPA. Finish is nicely bitter. Good drink. However, the descriptions of others makes me wonder whether the bar staff passed me the wrong drink. Oakes (7032), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jul 25, 2007 Dull dark burgundy colour. Attractive aroma - rich dark muscovado and demerara sugars. Soft body matches these rich sugars, then a firm alcoholic finish kicks in...nice! More a winter beer, but I can see this being brilliant in the rain.
