2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle: Clear, amber coloured, quickly collapsing loose off-white head, burnt malt (with a coffeish touch ) and some lost hops in the nose; mild sweetish and bitterish flavour, quite light bodied for a beer of 5.9%; slightly lingering spicy-malty finish with a low bitterness and a slightly warming alcoholic touch. Drinkable, but disappointing…

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
330 ml bottle. L132023K. BB 11/2013. From mein-biershop.de.
Clear bronze colour with a small off-white head.
Sweetish caramel malty aroma. The flavour is pretty much the same. Quite simple caramel sweet malty Lager. Mild bitterness and lots of toffee sweetness. Nothing original but on the other hand nothing’s wrong with this. What makes this Arschkalt is kind of a mystery to me. Maybe the name is the gimmick... Well, it’s so obvious... I’ll shut up and...

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(bottle, 33cl) Clear, dark amber colour with a medium-sized tanned foamy head. Toast-malty and slightly nutty aroma with perfumed notes of caramel/toffee. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Toasty, if not a bit burnt malty aroma with notes of caramel and a tinge of nuts, hops show up towards the sweet and delicately bitter finish. Has something of a very diluted dark Bock, although not overly exciting. 23.I.13
