Bottle. Golden color. Soft maltaroma. Malty intensely breasy flavor with a hint of grass. Sweetish finish. Somewhat onedimensional, but OK.

Nice take on this style (I was expecting another pale lager). Beautiful pour with thick airy head and nice dark amber color. Light malty aroma with slightly stronger, but mellow taste. Light lingering palate. A pleasant surprise.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear dark amber, no head. Aromas of candy sugar, nuts, light spice. Taste is more of the same, but sweet, and with a sticky finish. Not so great.

33cl Bottle, poured for me at the St Pauli (Reeperbahn) Christmas Market on 11th Dec 2014. Red or brown body, difficult to gauge in the dark with flashing decorations as your only light source. The head did not hang around long enough for me to discern it’s hue. The nose was weak, the beer very cold and highly carbonated, some fizzy fruitiness and a few roasted malty hints in both the aroma and taste, dry finish and a decent blend of flavours with the malt content overriding the hops all the way through the beer.

bartlebier (2820) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - NOV 19, 2012
33cl bottle from local Real. - everything - aroma, colour, taste, mouthfeel - about this beer is watered down in the most bland marcobrew kind of styles: light roast, light caramel, light coffee, some malts, faint hops - and aimed at maximum gulp-, not drink-, ability: picture being at a frat party and somebody watered down a single 33cl bottle of St. Bernardus 12 to serve 6. St. Abbey Coors? Hm, still, all reminiscences of the right flavours are there... Chug, darish winterbeer for the cold months, Astra Arschkalt, chug!

10,9,8,8,11,8 - 8,50 - 28/11/12
