Looks nice in the glass with a clear amber colour and a medium white head that stays for a moment and then diminishes leaving a lacing. Aroma is very malty as the style suggests with notes of rye bread, barley, seeds, camomille and grains. Fine and clean. Taste reveals itself very quickly with a fresh herbal bitterness and an even stronger malty finish. Lots of grains and cereal. A very solid flavor but a bit one dimensional. Body is light to medium with a lively carbonation. This is a nice beer, one of the good commercial examples of the style.

Reddish amber colour, white head. Malty aroma, light sour, apples, caramel, quite pronounced hops. Reminds of a Speciale Belge with more hops. Malty sweet flavour, light sour touch. Quite OK.

Bottle. Golden color with a small white head. Bready malty , grainy and some faint grassy hops. Bit skunky and metallic.

Stubby bottle by 08.2012. Grainy and lightly alcoholic nose, sweet and dusty. Dark clear golden pushing into copper, with a noisy and yellow-tinged beige head. Crisp and somewhat boozy, lightly sweet with a touch of light hop juice, but an unpleasant grainy and gritty mouthfeel. Lightly tart and bitter, there’s a pervasive perfumed florality that overwhelms the last hint of cleanliness. Medium body. Ugh?

Amber of color with a beige head. An aroma of vegetables, sweets, bitter notes and sweet, rotten appels. A flavor with caramel, bitter, vegetables, sweets and a dry finish.

Test vom 17.12.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,11,12,11,10,12 - 11,60

Bottle- Pours a dark golden color with a small head and some lacing. Mild aroma of malt sweetness and grain with a hint of alcohol. Mild sweetness with some biscuit. A good bitterness and clean finish. Fairly light body, crisp with a bit of the alcohol peeking through. Decent beer for the price, Nothing fancy. I like the label which says " Brewed with love and alcohol". Seems to be appropriate for the Reeperbahn.

Starts off as a basic boring lager, but is after all quite balanced considering the strength. The flavour of herbs adds in nicely and this one stands out a bit from the basic beers.

Bottled 330ml. -from Bier Imperium, Vienna. Dark golden coloured, small white head, sweetish fruity nose. Sweet malty, light caramel and honey with fruity notes and touch of alcohol. Short finish. Pretty average.
