bartlebier (1530) - Belchum im Breisgau, GERMANY - NOV 19, 2012
Brewed for drinkability - another German macrobrew that takes pride foremost in being a thirst quencher, not a vessel for taste. Medium roast, light Dormunder/Vienna-(=Hamburger?)style malts, some caramel-in-broth: malty water + added taste. Chuggable for the winter months, not repellent and drinkable as Rihanna/Coldplay is listenable, blandness to delete the most common of thirsts with an extra ABV.

abemorsten (2614) - Mosterøy, NORWAY - OCT 28, 2012
Bottle at a cafe in Friedrichshain, Berlin. Clear golden-orange with an inch thick, dense beige head. Caramel and herbs on the nose. Medium body. Light doughy texture. Toasted notes and a medium bitterness in the mouth.

Nearly orange colour, small white head. Bitter aroma, reminds me a bit of the aroma of Faxe beer. Neutral taste and mildly bitter palate. Good average.

Abio (1551) - Waasland, BELGIUM - SEP 23, 2012
Darker golden coloured beer, the head starts decent, but disappears a bit quick. Very malty, tea-like. Small amount of caramel, dry-sweetness at the most. Nothing that gets me excited, at all.

MADpalace (199) - Budel, NETHERLANDS - SEP 15, 2012
Really transparant (not even carbonation) orange/yellow color with heavy creamy head that disappears slowly. Expected some more red in the color because of its name. Strong smell of wood with malts and caramel in the background. Feels watery in the mouth, but has a strong simple bitter and cold taste.

Test vom 8.1.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,8,3,2,6,3 - 4,45

OleR (4786) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 31, 2012
0.33 L bottle. Thanks Jack!. Pours dark gold to pale amber. Low and dense lacing white head. A whiff of clean lightly toasted malt to the nose. Tones of husk and straw. Semi-dry malt flavor. Clean, with grassy and hayish hops to support. A wee alcohol-sweetness. Otherwise, a well balanced and tasty lager.

stevoj (2008) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 25, 2012
Pours with a thick, fluffy two finger head, which stays thick on top of the beer due to the active carbonation. Dark golden color, with light bitter, hay/bread flavor. Higher alcohol content not evident in finish or taste. Not too bad...
