0,3 litres bottle. Typical yellow lager colour with white quick head. Mild malty aroma and taste. Woodlike hoppiness and pretty strong hop flavour compared to malts in the taste. Palate is lower than medium. No need to taste again.

Pours clear pale yellow. medium amount of dappled white head. Aroma is grains and a small amount of skunk, but pretty sure it’s not a bad bottle. Lively. Lots of carbonic acid on the finish, and then sticky. Aroma and flavor are weak---not even much in the way of grains. (It’s a German beer---it has to be made with grains, so where’d the taste go?!) Pretty crap, honestly.

Zarkam (428) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 10, 2014
330ml bottle from Gourmondo.de. Pale clear yellow colour, small mostly vanishing frothy white head, fair lacing. Moderately malty aroma of grain and straw, light grassy hops. Taste is initally moderately sweet and slightly acidic and mineral, turning into a bittersweet finish with an astringent feel . Light body, slick texture, average carbonation. On the lower end of the German bulk pilseners, somewhat less hopped than usual and otherwise unremarkable too. Suppose it’s ok while drunk on Reeperbahn though.

JDBaker11058 (1282) - Maryland, USA - SEP 6, 2014
Appearance: deep clear gold, one finger of bright white head quickly shrinking, leaving no lace. Aroma: very corny nose, with faint cracker and some peppery hops. Taste: corny, slightly sweet, white pepper, mineral water, light buttery cracker. Finish: short, with slight minerality. Notes: Drinkable palate, but only slightly better than, say, a Budweiser. Can at Mokomandy in NoVA.

Lys gul farge med tynt hvitt skum. Lukter mildt malt og litt sødme. Lite kullsyre. Mild og noe oljete i munnfølelse. Noe bitter i ettersmak

Not really good lager beer, watery and metallic. But nice if you know the brewer philoshopy and its meaning as cultural icon ( still not enough)

bonkiedeaap (267) - Leerdam, NETHERLANDS - JUL 5, 2014
Bottle from Bert’s Bierhuis in Utrecht. The beer has a clear yellow color and a small white head, the carbonation is oke. The aroma is very malty with tones of citrus, grass and hops. The taste is malty and a little bitter and has tones of hops, malts and herbs. The finish is short, dry and a little bitter. Pretty bad pilsner. I thought they could do a better job in Germany.
