Pours a clear pale yellow with a quickly dissipating head. Smell is grass, grain some hops as well. Taste is as it smells with some bitterness on the ending. Light in body and average carbonation. This beer is pretty pedestrian.

33cl bottle in Friedrichshain. Mild malty aroma with some fruity notes and hints of hops. Medium sweet with a fairly light bitterness. Fairly standard pilsner, easy to drink, but quite boring. (2013-10-11)

15th Sep 2013. Dumpy 33cl bottle taken on the patio of my Ste Maxime hotel after I’d brought this over the Alps with a few other beers. Typical Pilsner look: bright, clean, clear and golden. No smell worthy of note: gets my standard 3 for a non-smelling lager/pilsner. The taste was a let down too, dry and bitter, which was fine, but the metallic feel the flavour gave off was very nasty, almost didn’t finish it. The beer was well in date and it had settled in the room fridge for two days before opening, but I wasn’t impressed.

Pours clear golden with white average sized head. Nice malty aroma with strong hoppy floral notes too. The taste if definitely a let down after the nice aroma. Very light flavors with some bread and herbal/grass notes. Quite watery mouthfeel. Drinkable and simple pilsener.

Can. "Astra premium Bier". Pours deep straw gold with a fizzy white head that quickly fades. aroma of malt and a bit of floral hops. Mid light body with a smooth slight earthy bitterness to go along with the sweet malt. Pretty good pilsner.
