Bottle. Copper pour, white carbonation. Toasted bread, caramel, earth, cookie, mild bitterness on the finish, which leans drier. Medium body, balanced carbonation, easy. Sessionable amber ale, simple and tasty.

Thanks to Tony from OTH for the share. Pours amber with an off-white head. Nose is some malt with a decent amount of hops, some bready malt, and bitterness. Flavor is similar. Solid amber... good starter, wears its heart on its sleeve.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
The aroma is corn like and slightly toasted with butter, hay, and leaves. The appearance is light amber with a sudsy, medium head. The taste is like the aroma with a clean, yet slightly soapy, finish. The palate is average for the style. Overall itís not a bad beer but itís not really what I expect from an amber.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Hop City. I think the Vortex is awesome so I felt like I should at least give their beer a try. The pour is light for an amber ale. It looks even a shade lighter than Fat Tire. The aroma is hoppy with grassy notes and some biscuits. I take a sip and am underwhelmed. This is a very simple and light take on the style. Itís almost like a generic pale ale. That being said, it really is not bad. What flavor is here is well balanced and clean with plenty of hoppy flavor to work with the light, biscuity malts. I canít say that I will ever seek this one out again, but I did have a fairly enjoyable time going through the six pack over the course of three days.

Draft @ OTH
Strangely enough this one reminded me a lot of RB Peachstreet beer.
Light amber color, white head.
Aroma and flavor, fruit and hop citrus presence, leaning on a peach side. Mild notes of malt giving the beer a thin caramel and roasted malts in the profile.
Just never imagined this one to be an amber.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
single bottle from Total Wine... pours a light amber with a nice 1 finger white head which settles as a quarter inch throughout... very little on the nose except some bread notes and ash... medium creamy body with light sweet malt notes and some faint bitterness... so so finish... some creamy lingering hops. not terrible, but would not buy again.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy amber color with a medium sized off-white head. No overwhelming aromas or flavors. Has a nominally hoppy, mostly malty earthy taste. Medium bodied. Quaffable.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a too light amber. A very grainy malty nose. Not very complex. Same with the flavor though it is a little better. Pretty crisp, which is nice, but not at all exciting.
