Poured a very pleasant amber with a sticky head. Nose of malt and very well balanced in the mouth.

Really nice amber ale. The beer smells of bready and caramel malt citrus hops in the orange range. The beer is a hazy deep gold to orange with a big dense white head. The beer tastes of bead, caramel and orange hops. There is also some light butter like richness. The body is medium with an incredible smoothness. Very good.

On tap- The Vortex Little Five. Pours a dark hazy amber with a thin tan head. Nice lacing. Aroma of citrus, pine, sweet fruits, and caramel. Taste very light. Taste pine, citrus. Sweet malt backbone. Very subtle. Pretty refreshing. Semi dry pine finish.

Bottle in Florida. Smells great, almost like a chocolate porter. Nutty flavor. No bitterness as expected. Fuller flavor than many thin ambers. Above average

This draft brew from a beer bar poured a head of white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a uncarbonated transparent brown orange colored body and a spiderweb lacing. The weak aroma was jelly bean malty and Irish Red malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a medium caramel hop aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of semi-sweet mild caramel mild hops and bread dough. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

12 ounce bottle from Hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. This beer is clear amber brown and has just a little beige head. The aroma is rich and malty with some nice fruit behind that. The fruit is almost candy. I taste fruity caramel which must mean those two blend well here. A little cinnamon. Mid glass I noted just a little grapefruit bitterness and a tiny bit of chocolate just before that. This beer keeps surprising. Now I am tasting some brown sugar. As fun as the middle of the glass was, the finish was more mundane. There is not usually a lot of excitement in an Amber ale but this one was fun. It offered some nice surprises.

Bottle: color, ,more orange then amber, almost no head, in the aroma, honey, caramel, malt, oranges, citrusy hops. in the flavor. more hoppy bitterness, less malty, less caramel and honey, oranges as well, orange marmalade, rose petals jam, body is light, too light, hoppy dry finish and aftertaste, a nice hoppy amber ale.

I kinda thought this would be terrible but it wasnít! Popped the crown with a loud pop, poured almost as a gusher, with a huge foaming head, thick meringue like texture sticking out of the glass and holding its shape. Took forever to pour. Clean caramel bready malts, light grassy hops. Clean overall approach, fairly done although heavy on the carbonation.

12oz bottle. Pale orange-tan with a steady, frothy head. Dry cherry amber malt and piny citrus hop aroma. A pretty respectable Amber Ale. Solid hop backbone shows. Subtle vanilla tones, not unlike Dead Guy. On the fuller side of medium bodied. OK, well balanced.

Wonderful chocolate & tobacco flavor almost like a well brewed stout with some smokiness. Excellent amber ale and the best one Iíve tried to date.
