Clear golden poor with lots of effervescence and a thin foamy beige head. Aromas of cask, caramelised malts, the sweetness from the pineau des charentes and a slight twist of ginger. Way to sweet, very syrupy... almost artificial... 99% sweet, 1% other... serious lack of balance in this beer. Very soggy tasting and fad.

Lightlysweet caramel aroma, notes of oxidation and apple puree. In mouth, a sweetish corn adjunct malt with apple juice, cloying sweetness in beginning. Light bodied. Bottle from LCBO about 1 yr old. Light and juice-like flavors emerge. Aroma some slightly metallic hops. Overall decent but no biggie. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark

Sugary pinappley taste. A bit thin really with nothing much else to note. Completely forgetable. daboskabouter (1470), Fergus, Ontario, Canada
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jan 3, 2008 Pale golden colour with a fizzy white head. The nose is grassy with a bit of candyish sweet malt and sugar. Iron notes in the nose as well. The body is a cardboard cookie with sugar sprinkled on top. Sweet is all there is, too sweet even for a cognac beer. Not good. MrManning (1648), London, Ontario, Canada

The head and lacing is cloud white, and looks very creamy. Pineapple aroma, musty basement, tropical fruit, lots of yeast. This is very sweet. A sipping beer for sure. Lots of sweet fruit juice, pineapple, pretty yeasty, sugar, a touch of sauvignon blanc. This is too sweet for me to have any more than one, and it is a bit of an effort. I can see the use for this, but it does not appeal to me. Maria (6225), Thisted, Denmark
