Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 2, 2007 (Bottle 33 cl) Almost clear, pale golden with a small, off-white head. Lightly sweet and spicy nose. Light-bodied, sweet notes of the Pineau liqueur, lightly fruity with a slightly astringent finish. 310807 fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Jul 12, 2007 Bottle. Clear medium amber orange color with a small fizzy fair lacing mostly lasting white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, fruity / wine, moderate yeasty, toffee, sugar, notes of caramel. Flavor is heavy sweet, (to much for me) with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture oily / syrupy, carbonation is soft to flat. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Aug 31, 2007 Hazy blond color. Light honeyish aroma. Poor beer flavor with a sweet addition. Useless and quite bad. Maria (6056), Thisted, Denmark Dec 16, 2007 Light golden with an Ok head. The aroma is sweetish, perfumed and fruity. The flavour is sweet, perfumes and artificially fruity. A peculiar beer. 2056 Lubiere (4464), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jul 9, 2008 Golden ale with a thick white head. Lightlysweet caramel aroma, notes of oxidation and apple puree. In mouth, a sweetish corn adjunct malt with apple juice, cloying sweetness in beginning. Light bodied. Bottle from LCBO about 1 yr old. Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 28, 2007 I had meant to pass this one up as I am not into fruity beers, etc. Sugar sizzles out of the body and gives it a good initial head. Not much colour in body. Taste is sugary fruit punch. A couple of sips and I fed the drain. Radek Kliber (3926), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada May 9, 2007 Bottle (LCBO)
Pours golden clear with plenty of carbonation. Even gently pour create large massive head that leaves decent lacing behind. 3,5/5
Fresh mineral accented, sweet grainy with light hint of vanilla. Over green grapes and some hops.
Medium bodied with oily texture. Slightly sour, acidic middle. Light vanilla flavour sweetened with malt. Lacking crispness. Crudely summarizing oily lager with grape juice that could be decent niche product.
HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Sep 30, 2006 Bottle (330ml). At Smokeless Joe, shared with blankboy. Poured gold, slightly hazy with a few suspended tiny particles, a small quick-diminishing white frothy head. Very sweet aroma, grain, malt (extract? that’s what I thought, anyway), grape skins, seems almost slightly sour wheaty on warming. Tasted - again, sweet, grape skins, grainy not-fresh malt, long odd sweet finish, just didn’t like the blend of that cheap malt and the grape. Slick, sticky body and mouthfeel, somewhat flat and uninspiring - it’s not BAD, just seems sort of cheaply made - reminded us both of a standard CDN decent macro with grapes ... too sweet!
