Bottle from LCBO. Yellow body with a billowy white head. (3+) Brief note of Cinnabon upon first opening the bottle. Yeasty lager aroma with light fruity character, hint of spice. Light herbal spice in a very fruity flavour, light grainy malt. Average palate is on the creamy side. A strange... something in the flavour like a wacky liqueur or foreign candy. A lot better than I expected but I can not really see drinking more than one. Interesting.

Bottle. [Courtesy of Papsoe, another great session @ Papsoe] Small fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Spare lacework. Clear sparkling body with a yellow color. Aroma of fruit, caramel, citrus, hint of butter and some herbal notes as well. Light bodied with a soft carbonation. Very sugary sweet flavor. Sweet finish. 31-08-2007

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry at Smokeless Joe . Pours a slightly hazy golden-orange with a small diminishing white head. Faint aroma of grain, grape and overly sweet malt is boring and dissapointing. Flavour is quite sweet, a little too much so even, grapey (can you say that? It tastes of grapes) and sugary along with yeast, grain and...not much else -- also dissapointing. Light bodied. I’m being quite generous with my rating as I didn’t even finish my half of the bottle.

Citrus, malt and yeast aroma, translucent yellow, pours almost no head. Mixed fruit and malt flavour, medium bodied, a zesty fruit sweetness, pleasant tongue tingle, average.

(Rating #1378)

33 cl. Bottle. Clear golden colour with a weak head. Malty aroma with notes of grain and maize. Very sweet flavour with fruitness and again sweet malty. Ends up sweet.

[299-20070508] 330mL (w/ jerc). Very watery, some yeast and plastic aromatic notes and something that smells like chocolate from a wine barrel. Clear, orange yellow body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Fruity fullness has light plastic flavour. Medium body. Strangely coordinated flavour considering the unpleasant aroma.

Bottle. Standard dark yellow, but white bubbly head and lots of streaming bubbles. Aroma is slightly sweet, slightly grassy, not really much there. Surprisingly thick frothy body, the best thing about this beer - this part was really nice. Taste - um, let’s see - I’m not familiar at all with Pineau des Charentes, so that’s no help. But what is here is a standard light ale and one great big pile of sugar. Served slightly chilled out of my wine chiller, it actually wasn’t the alcho-pop/beer I thought it would be. It is simply a serviceable ale that is artificially sweetened tot he extreme. Not near as bad as expected, but 0 reason to buy again.
