The_Jester (474), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Apr 16, 2007 330 mL bottle. Clear golden orange with minimal head (actually leaves a little lacing, though!). Aroma of hay and sweet. Very thick in the mouth, like honey. Tastes like white-grape-juice flavoured honey pilsener. With no hops. Different, but not in a good way. Sweetness lingers.
Lubiere (3231), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jul 9, 2008 Golden ale with a thick white head. Lightlysweet caramel aroma, notes of oxidation and apple puree. In mouth, a sweetish corn adjunct malt with apple juice, cloying sweetness in beginning. Light bodied. Bottle from LCBO about 1 yr old. DerWeg (403), Tronna, Ontario, Canada May 28, 2008 33 c; bottle. LCBO. Soft golden bubbly stuff with kind of a nondescript sweet taste. Light and juice-like flavors emerge. Aroma some slightly metallic hops. Overall decent but no biggie. Storm (2677), Amager, Denmark Feb 5, 2008 33 cl. Bottle. Clear golden colour with a weak head. Malty aroma with notes of grain and maize. Very sweet flavour with fruitness and again sweet malty. Ends up sweet. nigos (611), Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England Feb 3, 2008 Light golden, almost chardonnay like hue, with a white foamy head. Light pinapple aroma. Sugary pinappley taste. A bit thin really with nothing much else to note. Completely forgetable. daboskabouter (1468), Fergus, Ontario, Canada Jan 3, 2008 Pale golden colour with a fizzy white head. The nose is grassy with a bit of candyish sweet malt and sugar. Iron notes in the nose as well. The body is a cardboard cookie with sugar sprinkled on top. Sweet is all there is, too sweet even for a cognac beer. Not good.
