Commercial Description:
A light fruit ale, made with Maine wild blueberries. As opposed to many of the sweeter fruit beers on the market, our addition of fresh Maine wild blueberries in this light ale yields a subtle blueberry aroma, without the sweet aftertaste. A mixture of the following Mutton malts, pale, crystal, and Munich, are combined with wheat to give this ale its lighter body, and we only use minimal amounts of Target and Willamette hops.

Nice blueberry pancake aroma. Good crisp flavor of bluberries and some wheat. Easy to drink but not especially complex. Not too sweet, really good for a simple fruit beer. Light finish.

Not a good fruit beer. I’m sticking with Lambic... or Dogfish Head’s Aprihop.

Draught at Duffy’s Tavern. Pours light amber color with one-inch white head. Served too cold and in a frosted glass. Pretty strong Blueberry Shortcake nose (like those dolls from the 70s). Tastes like the blueberry has left the house! Slight wheaty aftertaste is all that’s left. Thin and watery. br brire-rate closer to its place of origin.../i Draught at $3 Dewey’s, Portland. Bright copper color with small off-white head and some scattered lace remnants. Fresh aroma of the wild blueberries that grow up here. Lots of pie. Crust and filling together. Fizzy mouthfeel. Some hop, not as soda-pop as I remembered. Tart, sweet, and bitter as in seed. Not vibing on it but overall a nice blueberry: flash of blueberry here and there, lack of sweetness but also of complexity.

BOTTLE- creamy, crusty, and syrupy blueberry flavor. A nice pie like quality to this one, but a bit too sweet to session. Not bad, considering the genre.

I good New England beer. It has a faint blueberry taste to it. To many this beer might come across as bitter but it is more of an acquired taste.

Poured from a 22-oz. bottle--a slightly amber-copper head with a medium sixed 1/2-finger white head. Nose of sweet blueberries and bready malts. English complexity with a carbonated mouth feel. Finished somewhat uninterestingly. Decent beer, but nothing stands out as superb.

A fairly standard NE beer with an apparent blueberry taste to it. Definitely stronger fruit flavoring than Sea Dog’s blueberry, but with a similar taste.

Pours clear and slightly amber with very minimal head. Subtle blueberry and malt aroma. Definite blueberry taste, malt and wheat as well. Finishes smoothly... a good fruit beer. 12 oz. bottle.
