Commercial Description:
A light fruit ale, made with Maine wild blueberries. As opposed to many of the sweeter fruit beers on the market, our addition of fresh Maine wild blueberries in this light ale yields a subtle blueberry aroma, without the sweet aftertaste. A mixture of the following Mutton malts, pale, crystal, and Munich, are combined with wheat to give this ale its lighter body, and we only use minimal amounts of Target and Willamette hops.

Bottlle. Amber in color with a nice head. Artificial sorta of smell that is not that great. Taste is not to bad and hints at the blueberries. Aftertaste is also not great. Overall not too bad.

1st impression of this beer was that it was too bitter, too artificial, and lacking...but it gets a bit better as you go through them... copper colour..some head/lacing but low...lower quality beer but it’s simple and refreshing...

Amber colored, medium head which disappeared very quickly. Aroma is more gingery than blueberry, and tastes more like ginger ale (to me), than blueberry. Still a decent taste, however.

Va BF 07 Draft: Blueberry aroma. Copper color, no head. Prominent blueberry flavor ringed with grain. Wheat finish. One dimensional, moderately enjoyable. *Previously credited to (or blamed on) Bar Harbor True Blue Blueberry Ale. H/T to maniac for the correction

I think this is an excellent version of a blueberry ale. It is a light and crisp ale that really works with a decent amount of hops but once again is well balanced....nice flavors!

Bottle: Poured a light brown color ale with a huge thick foamy head with good retention. Aroma of light blueberry is drier then expected with some funky malt also noticeable. Taste is a weird mix between light blueberry and dry malt with a funky finish that doesn’t integrate very well. Light body with some medium carbonation. I had a couple of blueberry beers in the past few months and they all end up being a drain pour. I am starting to think that this fruit doesn’t integrate well with beer and brewer should think about using some other kind of fruit.

Blah. Too much blueberry. I was hoping for a pale ale w/ a hint of blueberry. This one is a little overpowering with the fruit. Beer is very thin tasting, coulda gone for a more malty beer. Not a fan.

Pours golden with a slight hint of copper amber. Small white head, recedes to nearly nothing with no lacing. Smells of blueberry. Taste is medium-thin bodied. Lots of sharp hops.
