Commercial Description:
A light fruit ale, made with Maine wild blueberries. As opposed to many of the sweeter fruit beers on the market, our addition of fresh Maine wild blueberries in this light ale yields a subtle blueberry aroma, without the sweet aftertaste. A mixture of the following Mutton malts, pale, crystal, and Munich, are combined with wheat to give this ale its lighter body, and we only use minimal amounts of Target and Willamette hops.

(Rating #914)

12oz bottle. The color is of amber malt, but as you look closer at it you’ll find a slight red tint in it. decent cascading carbonation and a white head. Heavy aroma of BLUEBEERIES. Flavor is much better than what I expected. Crisp malts with a flavorful, fresh berry finish. It is of Fresh Berries, not some kind of extract that has been added. not sweet, nicely balanced, light bodied.

Bottle: Poured a amber body with a small head, that was off white with a hint of blue. The smell was full of blueberry. Flavor not so much howevertoo much for my taste. Although I haven’t had that many flavored beers this one wasn’t the worst.

Picked this one up without knowing anything about it. From bottle. Pours dark amber with some carbonation bubbles. Medium sized foamy head, fades quickly. Aroma is fruity -- like berries. I was afraid it would be too sweet for me, but it’s not sweet at all. Delicious actually. Quite refreshing -- slight hop flavor with balanced malt, and subtle hints of berries without being sweet. I would love to be drinking this around a campfire in the high mountains.

Bottle into glass. Vey slight blueberry aroma. Flavor was a nice amount of blueberry, doesn’t hit you hard like some others, just enough there for you to enjoy, but not get sick of.

Poured from bottle. Clear amber, nice tan head. Aroma was very slight blueberries. I gotta be honest here. Flavor was very very little blueberries. Kind of a disappointment really. Tasted apples and malt with a slightly hoppy finish...This was a bit boring to me, and definitely not what I was expecting.

Rose colored body, thin cream head. Smells of blueberries, but doesn’t smell like a natural flavor but like the lifesaver blueberry cream suckers. Dry mouthfeel and very light flavor. Not too sweet and not overpowering at all. No bad aftertaste.
