bdjames29 (272), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jun 8, 2006 This light amber ale has a indefinate fruity aroma but the taste is definately bluberry. Not to sweet with a light hoppy finish. Doesn’t leave your mouth sticky. I’m not a big flavored beer fan, but the blueberry is very mild. I’ll buy it again. Aubrey (2773), Denver, Colorado, USA Jun 2, 2006 Clear copper. Lively, prickly carbonation; lightish body. Blueberry was nicely in the background. Toasty, grainy malts with very little sweetness to speak of. Healthy amount of bitterness made it slightly unbalanced, relatively speaking. Nice aromas (flowers, perfume). Dry finish. Fairly clean and pleasantly simple. LilKem (1210), Marietta, Ohio, USA May 26, 2006 this is one of those beers i’ve passed by 100 times and never bothered to buy it. and apparently today is not its day. aroma was more cherry than blueberry with some bubblegum wheatiness to it. flavor has some hops, very little blueberry pie, and more cherries. agl108 (503), Manayunk, Pennsylvania, USA May 23, 2006 12 oz. bottle. Pours a gold with thin white head. Nose is of fresh blueberries and wheaty malt. Pretty smooth drinking and not overwhelmingly sweet, although drinking more than 2-3 is unlikely. Tastes like a wheat beer. hopscotch (5440), Vero Beach, Florida, USA May 21, 2006 Draft... Clear amber ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma is lightly fruity with subtle notes of blueberry and citrus (grapefruit). The flavor yields tangy blueberries balanced by light hop and/or tannin bitterness. Light to medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Finishes astringent and dry. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA May 14, 2006 12 oz bottle. Clear copper color with thin white head that dissipated quickly. Aroma is dominated by malty caramel with only a touch of blueberry. Dry and malty with a light fruity note. If not for the beer’s name I probably wouldn’t have known it was brewed with blueberries. JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA May 9, 2006 12 oz bottle. Pale amber colour with a thin white lace that actually hangs around throughout the pint. Aroma of blueberry of course, but also some sweet spiciness and some sweet caramelly malts to add some complexity. Flavour is pretty good, some light crystal malt and blueberry are the first things noticed, but there is also some definite earthy/spicy hop flavour that work well with the sweet flavours. It also finishes much drier than the aroma would suggest. Pretty tasty. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 25, 2006 Bottle pours amber with a decent sized beige head. Aroma of blueberries, sweet malts, and alcohol. Flavor is sweet, blueberries, and a little kick of hops, not bad, but nothing great.
