Beerdedone (1873), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 24, 2006 Pours a light amber with a small beige head. Aroma of blueberries. The flavor is sweet malts and blueberries, not bad, refreshing. whiterabbit81 (243), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Apr 22, 2006 A nice blueberry beer; nicely balanced with a nice malt and barley backbone. Not too sweet, but with the taste of blueberry seed a decen amount of hop. Good summer brew. walleye (876), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA Apr 14, 2006 from the bottle. poureda copper amber with light tan head that left no lacing. aroma berries I guess you could say blue berries but the sweetness was a little strong so it was hard to pick out the berries, honey, some citrus. flavor malts yeast brown sugar and the blue berries did make a showing. not to bad easy to drink da845 (139), new york, New York, USA Apr 5, 2006 Great tasty beer. Truly very blueberry flavoured and is from maine so thats great. Its light and sweet, yet not overpowering. Tasty as can be when your in the mood for a light fruity but not too sweet brew. pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Mar 29, 2006 Dark gold, light brownish with too many bubbles and an ephemeral head. I can smell the blueberries before the glass even leaves the table- slightly sweet and also blueberry-bitter. Upon arriving at the nose, I’m getting little else, though some subtle almost bitter malt (perhaps a slightly older bottle?). Mouthfeel is as thin as can be, with too much CO2 to boot. The flavor is first somewhat borderline acrid/accerbic owing to the natural tartness of blueberries maybe? There’s some subtle sweet malt that lingers dovetailing with the presence of hops at the very end. This wasn’t as bad a beer as I ended up rating it, however, I can’t justify bumping up the overall any higher. My feel is this should be maybe a 2.8, but I just can’t find a reasonable way to get it there. tcruicks (282), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Mar 29, 2006 Wow, this sure does smell and taste like blueberries.
Orange/gold color, a good deal of carbonation. Blueberry is the strongest element, but theres a bit of a sweet maltiness in the aroma, and some citrusy flavours.
dirtyc (173), Erie, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 26, 2006 Tasteful blueberry ale, strong aroma with subtle blueberry flavor, just the right amount hershiser2 (902), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Mar 22, 2006 Bottle. Pours reddish brown with a small head. Overwhelming aroma of blueberry. Flavor is that of a lager with some blueberry... not bad, and in fact got used to it by the time the 6-pack was gone.
