Commercial Description:
A light fruit ale, made with Maine wild blueberries. As opposed to many of the sweeter fruit beers on the market, our addition of fresh Maine wild blueberries in this light ale yields a subtle blueberry aroma, without the sweet aftertaste. A mixture of the following Mutton malts, pale, crystal, and Munich, are combined with wheat to give this ale its lighter body, and we only use minimal amounts of Target and Willamette hops.

BlechKKK!!!! Orange color with a soda pop like head. I gave it a 5 for the aroma because the blueberries were presant, but it smelled very lager like. Flavor was terrible... blueberries were only slightly noticable with a medicinal household cleaner like feel. As though someone realized this tasted like crap and tried to cover it up with them. Leaves you wanting a glass of water to take the taste away. Maybe it was a bad bottle, my wife loves the stuff. For me, however, the one I had was bad enuff that I don’t want to try it again.

I may be a little partial to this considering Ive gone to Bar Harbor every summer for the past 15yrs on vacation and I love Maine blueberries. But I can say, the aroma this beer hits the smell of maine blueberries ’on the nose’. highly carbonated- aroma is excellent- flavor a little sweet a little sour not very thick (i wish it was a little less carbonated and sweeter) palate not great. pretty average beer but outstandingly authentic aroma and nice fruity hit up front makes this pretty good.

(Bottle) Pours a reddish amber. Bubbly. Thin fizzy white head. Light lacing. Aroma of scented shampoo. Flavor - only vaguely blueberry. Kind of bitter, kind of dry. Has a definite soapy quality. Not good.

Pours a pretty standard dark orange color with a decent amount of foamy white head. Aroma was exactly like blueberry pancake batter, exactly! Mouthfeel is rather carbonated which covers up some of the flavor, but as you can probably guess, its a lot of blueberry with a dry sweet hay finish. Overall, and interesting brew.

Sweet blueberry aroma with hints of cereal grains. Pale amber with a thumb thick white head. Almost lager like taste to it with a bit of blueberry coming toward the middle and finish. Not much else going on.

Bottle: Fiery golden, clear, moderate off-white head, somewhat fizzy, settles quickly, spotty lacing, light carbonation.   Blueberry nose, much like blueberry pancakes... slightly doughy.   Slight pepper coated Blueberry on the tongue, not as peppery as other examples.   Semi-sweet, slightly tangy on the exit.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Not bad at all...   Thanks Dan!

Is it ever blueberry! The aroma and flavor are overwhelmingly blueberry, to the point that trying to find the beer is a bit of a challenge. Overly acidic, maybe sour at times. Hard to tell if it is the beer or the fruit though.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper with dissipating white head. There is some blueberry in the nose, along with just a touch of hops. The flavor has obvious blueberries, barley, and some interesting acidic tones. It is just a bit overcarbonated. This could be a bit better.
