DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 13, 2005 Bottle from Epps in Limerick, PA. Pours gold with solid blueberry aroma and a sweet blueberry taste. Palate is medium to light with a crisp, fruity finish. Not bad. Now, please, someone make a blueberry lambic! Quiver (139), Augusta, Georgia, USA Sep 6, 2005 Pours medium golden color. Blueberry flavor is undeniable. very sweet. great dessert beer. 1 glass is the perfect amount. I could see it getting old quickly. Starts and finishes about the same. worth trying Ron (1000), Rochester, New York, USA Sep 1, 2005 #300 for me. One of the B-day beers my wife got me from BOTW. Strong aroma of blueberries. Small head with a deep amber color to the beer. Not much blueberry flavoring, but crisp beer with alittle blueberry in the aftertaste. I enjoyed this one. matta (1137), Tampa, Florida, USA Aug 28, 2005 Pours a slightly hazy amber body and a frothy cream-colored head. Finding in the aroma and flavor are bland beady and sweet suggestions; honey buttered toasted wheat bread. Discreet suggestions of blueberry creep in here. The flavor is rather astringent… it seems fairly unrefined overall…. Like blueberry homebrew that I’ve ad in the past. GonZoBeeR (2155), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada Aug 21, 2005 Aroma:fruit,blueberry...
Appearance:light hazy orange...
Flavor:watery,chemical flavor...
Psylocke (91), st-constant, Quebec, Canada Aug 21, 2005 kind of sour beer with a light taste of blueberrie who fade away fast a litle bitr desapointing. I expected more for this one. CapFlu (3480), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Aug 16, 2005 (Draught) Sampled on tap at the Great Lost Bear in Portland, ME. Nose of very ripe blueberries. Unbelievably dark hazy copper body. The flavour carries a stingy medicinal finish that is very agreeable! KUEric (632), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA Aug 11, 2005 Updated: Jan 28, 2006Bottle: Im suprised right away with the head this beer pours. I’m expecting a weak wheat beer like beer, but this pours with a real head that leaves a ring around throughout the entire beer. Its also quite a dark amber color, not the light raspberry stuff I’ve tried in the fruit beer genre.
Aroma is very much blueberries. Flavor is as well, although its real not syrupy at all.
This is a very good fruit beer as it captures the fruit, and yet maintains some beer aspects.
Its like my girflriend said, who tried a sip ... "its kind of like those candles, you think it cant really smell like a birthday cake, but it actually does smell like a birthday cake". It really tastes like blueberries and yet it is an outstanding beer.
