Commercial Description:
A light fruit ale, made with Maine wild blueberries. As opposed to many of the sweeter fruit beers on the market, our addition of fresh Maine wild blueberries in this light ale yields a subtle blueberry aroma, without the sweet aftertaste. A mixture of the following Mutton malts, pale, crystal, and Munich, are combined with wheat to give this ale its lighter body, and we only use minimal amounts of Target and Willamette hops.

Nice cloudy-ish reddish color with a big blueberry aroma. Tangy blueberry taste. Too bad I don’t like blueberries.

I knew nothing of this beer or brewery when sampled. I’m happy to read on here that Atlantic Brewing Company is a legit brewery. Amber color, sporting a short fizzy head. Sweet blueberry aroma, and not an overbearing blueberry flavor. This fruit beer has a true ale backbone.

Pours amber, with a tan/white head. Aromas are blueberries, with some yeast, malt, and spice. Flavor is bluberries, malt, and sugar, but it’s not too sweet.

Redish pink like cherries on snow nail polish. Mmmmm...smells like blueberry juice. Yummy! I like these fruity beers.

Light brown color, nearly no head. Soft pearl chain on the side. Blueberry in the nose of course, but also sweet vanilla. Kind of artificial blueberry taste- not as sweet as suspected. Baking soda and slightly grassy notes come through in the beginning. Light taste all in all.

Doughy blueberry nose like blueberry pancakes, deep amber color, low tight sticky head. Not so sweet initially but definite blueberry tastes. Hops balances the fruit nicely. Artificial and juice-like at times. Medium body. Good try and balanced, but overall it just didn’t do it for me.

The aroma of this ale is of sour blueberries. It looks real good on the pour, a rich copper body with a tall, lathery off-white head. But the taste, a not too subtle blueberry candy with a bit of tart bitterness on the finish. I’ll pass on this in the future.

On tap at the Mellow Mushroom in Chattanoooga, Tn. Pours a medium copper with a wispy white head. Faint, fruity, blueberry like aroma - think Boo Berry Cereal and you got it. Flavor has the same sweet blueberry essence to it with a bit of underlying maple syrup, refreshing at first, but turns cloying near the end. Would be a decent summer refreshing, but could not drink more than one. Thick enough mouthfeel to make it interesting.
