COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A light fruit ale, made with Maine wild blueberries. As opposed to many of the sweeter fruit beers on the market, our addition of fresh Maine wild blueberries in this light ale yields a subtle blueberry aroma, without the sweet aftertaste. A mixture of the following Mutton malts, pale, crystal, and Munich, are combined with wheat to give this ale its lighter body, and we only use minimal amounts of Target and Willamette hops.

Rich red copper w/ big fluffy head. Interesting white pepper & blueberry aroma. Light-medium bodied. Definite blueberry flavour but not sweet. In fact, this beer has a dry, bitter, peppery character. Unusual brew.

It’s a good beer but too bitter for fruit ale type. Wish I can feel more blueberries in it.

Very little at the front; nose has some fruit, sure, but is rather weak. Watery, thin appearance. Body is a bit thicker though and the blueberry flavor is quite pronounced; just not a lot else going on. Sweet and simple, mediocre.

Smells great, tastes not so great. I do not think that its is a good combonation, blueberries are for cake not beer.

Fruit beers are not my favorites but wanted to try this one. Pop the cap and the smell of blueberries is immeadiate. But to me that is where it stopped, I did not find this to be over sweet, instead it was a restrained pale ale.

Strong blueberry aroma. Blueberry flavor is evident in the beer, but doesn’t overwhelm it, a good fruit/beer balance. My favorite fruit beer.

Very tasteful beer not as good as the Sea Dog Blue Paw, standard for blueberry ale. My out take on Bar Harbor BLueberry ale is its high buget movie. I paid to much to see it. and it wasn’t worth teh money.

Gusler and I heard about this beer from the same guy, who sung its praises. I liked more than my fellow beer fan, as I found its blueberry flavor fresh and delictible. The pale ale underneath is very well balanced, and it’s assertive enough to let you know that despite the blueberry, you’re still drinking BEER! Good stuff, too bad its not available on the west coast.

Adequate beer, I was greatly disappointed in this beer as it is supposed to be great? Average, a bit to sweet, decent malts and hops, but did not appeal to me?, oh well on to the other bazillion beers yet to be tried.
