Atlantic Bar Harbor Blueberry Ale

12oz bottle that poured a clear bright amber with very little head. Has a weak blueberry scent. There is a crisp flavor of blueberries that is balanced out well with hops and wheat. A nice not too fruity fruit beer.

(12 oz. bottle, courtesy of Lumpy) Pours a hazy blue-amber body with a small beige head. Aroma of blueberry pancakes and caramel. Flavor of malt and blueberries with a somewhat thin mouthfeel.

A dark amber ale with a good thick off white head. A nice blueberry mash aroma, light caramel malt. In mouth, good malt base with light bluebeery essence. Medium bodied. Bottle from Inertiaboy. shared Aug. 2008, while harvesting his hops.

Nice blueberry aroma, some iced tea, and a touch of sweetness. Pours an amber tone with a big fizzy head and some chill haze. Nice blueberry flavor that is more real than fake. A little malty sweetness. Some earth, and dirt in the finish. A little too fizzy IMO.

I do not like fruity beers, i do not like fruity beers... ok, this one is ok, but I would not call it fruity. Sure, it smells like blueberry eggo waffles and there is even a violet undertone in the amber color. but i found it to be a decent ale. acceptable bite, good flavor (but little yummy aftertaste). Try it! It’s from Maine.

Bottle from lumpy. Fake warhead blueberry nose, and blueberry pancakes. Tastes like blueberry water and old berries. If you really like blueberries this could be your thing. Me? I like the little red sour ones.

Bottle ’’thanks’’ to Lumpy. Pours with a white head that goes and a clear amber body. Aroma of bluberry, maple syrup, blueberry crisp and something raw and a bit of corn. Taste is corn, metallic, with some fruit. Fizzy...

A real surprise. Was reluctant to try a blueberry flavored beer. Very sweet/tart smell and slightly hoppy. Tasted sweet and slightly hoppy. Not so much like blueberry, but fruity and tart. Aftertaste was good as the flavor hung around for a few seconds. Not a beer a would drink all the time, but I am glad I finally tried it.
