A light fruit ale, made with Maine wild blueberries. As opposed to many of the sweeter fruit beers on the market, our addition of fresh Maine wild blueberries in this light ale yields a subtle blueberry aroma, without the sweet aftertaste. A mixture of the following Mutton malts, pale, crystal, and Munich, are combined with wheat to give this ale its lighter body, and we only use minimal amounts of Target and Willamette hops.

Strong blueberry aroma. Blueberry flavor is evident in the beer, but doesn’t overwhelm it, a good fruit/beer balance. My favorite fruit beer.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance had a slightly hazy amber colored body and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. The head lasted longer than I thought. The smell had some blueberries and light malt. The taste was blueberries with a toasted malty flavoring On the palate, it sat about a light to medium, sessionable, toasty yet sweet aftertaste, slightly bitter finish. Overall, this is good for the style and me, I’d probably have it again.

Pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma of blueberries (big surprise there) and light malts. Flavor of blueberries (duh) with some malts and light bitterness in the finish. Pretty good for a fruit beer.

Bottle: Pours bubbly, caramel-amber with a thick, beige head. Dusty blueberry and wheat scent. Taste is sweet, blueberry, bread, wheat malt. Not a big fan of blueberry, but this one’s not bad. Subtle....not overblown.

Draft at beer fest. Pours clear orange with a small white head. The aroma has blueberry muffin. The taste is light blueberry, semi sweet. Not bad for a fruit.

Another blueberry ale in maine. Not as good as Bar Harbor in my opinion. Aroma is nice sweet blueberries but it could use some tartness to balance the perfumey sweet fruit.

Nice blueberry and hop aroma. Hint of copper (possibly vat related?) in aroma. Appealing amber color, likely picking up a nice red hue from blueberries. Fruity, berry flavor and hoppy aftertaste. Carbonation is overpowering when cold but relaxes after warming slightly.
