Commercial Description:
A light fruit ale, made with Maine wild blueberries. As opposed to many of the sweeter fruit beers on the market, our addition of fresh Maine wild blueberries in this light ale yields a subtle blueberry aroma, without the sweet aftertaste. A mixture of the following Mutton malts, pale, crystal, and Munich, are combined with wheat to give this ale its lighter body, and we only use minimal amounts of Target and Willamette hops.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of cinnamon and blueberries. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of blueberries, leading to a dry and slightly acidic finish. The body is thin. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of KAggie97. Slightly hazy deep golden with an off-white head. Somewhat chemical fruit aroma. Medium body with sweet, berry-like fruit accents and a somewhat astringent, chemical finish. 160408

Kind of a blue-tinted amber colour. The aroma has lots of blueberry. Well-balanced on the palate. Lots of blueberry but also a firm caramelly, earthy maltiness. THe blueberry comes up with a fresh, fruity sweetness at the end that I really like.

Original rate: Orangey-amber candied blueberry, caramel and earthy malt aroma cuminy, musty flavours. I’m sorry for using such an obscure reference, but this tastes exactly like the Karma Co-op food store smells - from the spiderwebs to the flax seed and all that organic stuff - it’s a dead ringer. Interesting stuff, restrained blueberry. 6 3 7 4 14 is equal to 3.4

Poured a medium, see through, copper color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas and tastes of, guess what, blueberries. Smells like my wife’s blueberry pancake mix. Medium sweet. Even though it was one dimensional, I thought this one wasn’t bad.
