A light fruit ale, made with Maine wild blueberries. As opposed to many of the sweeter fruit beers on the market, our addition of fresh Maine wild blueberries in this light ale yields a subtle blueberry aroma, without the sweet aftertaste. A mixture of the following Mutton malts, pale, crystal, and Munich, are combined with wheat to give this ale its lighter body, and we only use minimal amounts of Target and Willamette hops.

Draft. Clear copper. Smells like blueberry potpourri. Taste is metallic with a blueberry muffin finish. Weird and bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light golden pour with thin white head. Aroma is a little yeast and some blueberry. Taste is crisp and dry, again with some blueberry. As the brewer states, this is not loaded with extra flavors, so the mild blueberry flavor is to be expected. Nice and refreshing, but overall a little bland all-around

12oz bottle from Wine Academy Hazlet. Poured a rusty bronze with a smaller white head that quickly fades. Aroma is metallic, like a rusty nickle, along with some light bad blue berry notes, soap, old pancake batter, acetone. Body is thinner to medium but with softer carbonation and a metallic aftertaste that lingers. Flavor of metal bottle caps, toast, bad bread, old blueberry muffin mix, old blue berries. Meh this is pretty bad.

Bottle at home (from notes). Pours a clear amber brown color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have caramel malts, blueberries that are stronger on the nose than the flavor, a hint of citrus and light bitterness. Lighter bodied beer, decent for summer.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance had a slightly hazy amber colored body and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. The head lasted longer than I thought. The smell had some blueberries and light malt. The taste was blueberries with a toasted malty flavoring On the palate, it sat about a light to medium, sessionable, toasty yet sweet aftertaste, slightly bitter finish. Overall, this is good for the style and me, I’d probably have it again.

Pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma of blueberries (big surprise there) and light malts. Flavor of blueberries (duh) with some malts and light bitterness in the finish. Pretty good for a fruit beer.
