Poured copper, 1/2 inch white bubbly head. Aroma of Blueberries, malts, and slight hops. Carbonation good. Flavor very sour, and hoppy. Fruity in the aftertaste. Little bit of alcohol warming, nothing overpowering. Medium mouthful. Bitter in the middle of the brew as it warmed. End of the brew was surprisingly smooth and crisp, the hop bitterness seemed to just disappear and more of the blueberry flavor came out. Overall, I wouldn’t get this again. But I was curious about this "Blueberry Ale." I didn’t like this brew. I actually thought I wouldn’t be able to finish it, intil I decided to give it one more try and I noticed the overpowering bitterness was gone as the brew warmed. Although I have had better fruit beers.
ucusty (1062), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Aug 27, 2008 Amber pour medium head with some spotty lace. Grains and blueberries on the nose. Blueberry flavor seems forced by using syrup rather then fresh. If that is the case its ashamed since it is made im Maine dangelicom1 (17), Shelton, Connecticut, USA Aug 25, 2008 I thought this was a good beer, but not a session beer for me. It was better on tap then out of the bottle. it wasnt the best blueberry beer that i have tasted. enjoyable but again, not m favorite in the genre. kkearn (650), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 24, 2008 12oz bottle, purchased at the brewery. Poured medium amber, a bit hazy, topped with an off-white head. Aroma of blueberry, malt, wheat, and perfume. Wheat and floral perfume flavor, with some blueberry, white pepper, earth and malt. Finish is somewhat astringent. urnamesucks (92), New York City, New York, USA Aug 20, 2008 It was like breakfast in a bottle. Yum, but don’t over due it or you’ll look like that girl in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. StFun (298), Indiana, USA Aug 19, 2008 this sumbitch tastes like pancakes. i wonder if there is an equal amount of blueberries in each beer?
