Commercial Description:
A light fruit ale, made with Maine wild blueberries. As opposed to many of the sweeter fruit beers on the market, our addition of fresh Maine wild blueberries in this light ale yields a subtle blueberry aroma, without the sweet aftertaste. A mixture of the following Mutton malts, pale, crystal, and Munich, are combined with wheat to give this ale its lighter body, and we only use minimal amounts of Target and Willamette hops.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper with dissipating white head. There is some blueberry in the nose, along with just a touch of hops. The flavor has obvious blueberries, barley, and some interesting acidic tones. It is just a bit overcarbonated. This could be a bit better.

Pours medium golden color. Blueberry flavor is undeniable. very sweet. great dessert beer. 1 glass is the perfect amount. I could see it getting old quickly. Starts and finishes about the same. worth trying

Wow, this sure does smell and taste like blueberries. Orange/gold color, a good deal of carbonation. Blueberry is the strongest element, but theres a bit of a sweet maltiness in the aroma, and some citrusy flavours.

Bottle. A clear orange pour with an average-sized fizzy light-tan head. Crisp aroma that features some blueberries, lemons and sweet malts. Thin-bodied and crisp. A sweet malty body with a good bit of blueberry flavor. A very subtle bitter finish. Hints of lemon and wheat throughout.

Even though I’m not a fruit beer fan, I hoped to find my thrill on this Blueberry Swill. My critique can best be described in song... Feel free to sing along to the tune of Blueberry Hill by Fats Domino: (Piano Intro) Would I find my thrill on Blueberry Swill? This Blueberry Swill where I found you - High on the shelf was Blueberry Swill, It caught my eye, now would my dreams come true? The wind in the willow played... the Aroma’s sweet melody. But all of those smells it charmed... Were never to be! Tho’ the look was not dark, it was pleasing to me still. For I always knew that I’d drink this Blueberry Swill. As I drew my first taste, The mouthfeel was sweet. But all of those vows I made Were never to be... The taste was tart, it was not much of a thrill... I failed to thrilled by this Blueberry Swill. (applause w/lighters lit and held high) Seriously folks. This ale from a 12 oz bottle wasn’t too bad. The Blueberry flavor is slight and tastes exactly like an Atkins Advantage Blueberry candy bar. If you like that flavor of Blueberry, then you’ll like it. If you perfer the sweetness of say, Boo Berry cereal - I suggest that you pass on the experience. Good luck and Cheers!

Bottle from lumpy. Fake warhead blueberry nose, and blueberry pancakes. Tastes like blueberry water and old berries. If you really like blueberries this could be your thing. Me? I like the little red sour ones.

Cloudy deep amber with tiny off white head. Sweet fruity aroma with malty and caramel notes. Sweet flavor with berry and malty notes. Ends sweet.

Really good ale, but wish it had more blueberry flavor. Little too suttle to put it in the title.
