Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin yellowish head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits, honey, flowers, malt, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of honey, spices, over ripe fruits, and some malt, leading to a dry finish.

Clover and honey nose. Clear amber, thin head. Honey flavor, but beerish body. Alcohol rather noticeable. Nicely balanced between beer and mead. Usually I find braggots to be more one way or the other. A joy to drink.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 wchesser (332) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 13, 2011
Bottle from a buddy that he said was 2-3 years old. Tons of sediment on the bottom. Still poured fairly hazy with beautiful copper color and nice carbonation. Raisins, some cola, on the nose. Not cloying at all, firm hop back to cut the sweetness. Reminded me of a toned down refined, Dogfish Raison D’etre. Really enjoyable. If you can get some, set a few down in the cellar and forget about them for a while.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 MeadMe (967) - Riverview, Florida, USA - AUG 7, 2011
A: Pours a nice deep ruby red with a nice foamy off white head. Good retention with some nice lace.
S: Wonderful sweet aromas. Tons of brown sugar and caramel up front. Hints of earthy honey sweetness as well.
T: Mmm honey sweetness right from the start. Light caramel and toffee tones as well as a touch of dark fruit. The honey really shines though.
M: Full bodied rich and smooth.
4.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 drpimento (1741) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 23, 2011
I let the bottle warm up a bit out of the fridge before opening. Very interesting brew. Poured with decent foamy, thick, slightly creamy, light tan head and lots of lace. Color is a clear, dark orange copper amber with some bubble trails. Aroma is honey, malt, and a bit of funk. Flavor is the most interesting part - truly a cross between ale and mead. Malt, a hint of bitter hop and honey - minus the heavy honey flavors retaining only the smooth, mellow qualities. Body is full and lush with perfect carbonation to cut through the sweetness. Finish is like flavor and is quite long. Excellent after dinner beer; maybe one of the best I’ve ever had.

Sample at Julio’s Spring Beerfest. One of the more interesting samples at the fest. I see now it is classified as mead which makes sense. Definitely not very ale like. Very sweet with a strong alcohol burn. Not what I usually go for but an interesting ale worth trying.

Hazy cider brown with a tiny bit of head. A mildly spicy aroma with some honey notes. Taste is the same, but it seems a bit too attenuated, with dry spicy notes into the finish $9/22oz
