COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned only.
A classic full bodied Celtic Ale with well rounded hops and a coppery hue. Atlantic Red is brewed using Pale, Wheat and Crystal malt, with First Gold and Fuggles hops.
Crystal malt gives a caramel and nutty sweetness which is balanced by the citrus flavours of the late hopped First Gold.

Brick orange pour covered by minimal white head. Interesting toffee and floral, toasty nose. Quite grainy and slightly astringent, but the aroma has already enticed us to look further. And we find a gently carbonated medium body, sheltering a simplistic fruitiness of peaches and the likes, but also a bordering smokiness and a pleasant sandy bitter finish. Likeable in the end!

Bottle. Sharp, yeasty nose with strong floral hop notes. Pours a deep amber. Flavour is very hoppy with a puckering, sharp, bitter finish. Lots of hops make this one a winner.

Bottle from ASDA. orange coloured with next to no head. Aroma of fruity malt with a whiff of powdered chocolate. Flavour had some marmalade, chewy malt and a short, dry finish. Good.

Cloudy red-ish colour. Quite flat, which puts me off a bit. The fruity taste is nice, but there’s something about the finish that I don’t like.

Bottle@GBBF2007. Amber colour, mediumsized head. Aroma is really bready, hoppy, hayish and wooden. Flavour is fruity hops, some malts and quite wooden. Not very exciting. Quite earthy aftertaste.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Ungstrup. Hazy, amber golden with a tall and lively, off-white head leaving some lacework. Lightly fruity and nutty aroma. Medium body with lightly sweet caramel and a subdued bitterness. Quite pleasant. 201107

500ml bottle, best before Mar 12, drunk at 2011 Festive tasting on 30 December 2011. Reddish amber colour with a generous pale beige head and decent condition. Fruity malt is prominent in the aroma - berries and a touch of apple. More of the same on the palate. Some sweetness up front but finishes fairly dry. Not a lot of hop character in evidence - just a slight twist of lemon. Decent enough but not particularly imposing.
