COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by the beers that accompanied America’s expansion into the West, District Common is fermented using a lager yeast at temperatures common to ale fermentation. The result is a pale, well-balanced beer combining crisp lager character with fruity ale notes. The clean grain bill provides a refreshing drinkability and supports late aroma additions of Czech Saaz hops.

On tap 6 oz. sampler at Sonoma restaurant in Capitol Hill, Washington, DC. Very lightly hazy yellow-gold with an off-white head and good lacing. Aroma of light fruit, lemony citrus, toast and caramel. Taste of lemon, citrus, light fruit, toast and caramel. Medium/light body and low/medium carbonization. An uncommonly good California common. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Kangaroo Boxing Club. Pours a clear amber color with a medium white head. The aroma is light grains and fruit. The flavor is mild biscuit, caramel, toast, a bit of strawberry. Quite easy and clean. Good.

On tap at Takorean in Navy Yard, DC. The beer is mostly full colored and clean, hued with a soft white lace. Medium amount of hops, and really started to like it the more I sipped. Smell, flavor, and taste all pretty good I'd definitely have again.

Slight haze cooper brown with thin white head. Light bready aroma with spice hints. Taste is malty and booze red than 5% in feel. Heavy palette with bready grassy finish.

On tap at some bar. Pours hazy golden. Aroma of pale malts, some dough and bread, and light hops. Flavor the same. Average to lighter texture. A decent beer for the style.

Keg @ some random hipster bar. Split with Travlr. SLightly hazy gold pour with a small head. Pretty basic biscuit and white pear on the nose. Bready malt. Slight toasted grass bitterness. More apples and pear. Light body, active carbonation. Pleasant.

This is a decent common and its certainly well-balanced, though I would’ve like a bit more flavor. It has a pretty non-descript, dirtiness to it...

Not bad for style. The thing about steaming like this is the barley doesn’t come out so much. Pours yellowy orange with ok head and lacing. Some crisp finish. Tap at Brixton.
