UPDATED: MAR 12, 2013 Cask @ JDW Elgin [100313]
Light straw, clear, frothy white head, good lacing
Aroma of very light citrus, hint of lemon, soft fruits, very light cereal malt
Taste as aroma, soft lemon citrus, light pale malt, refreshing
Palate - thin body, bit watery, light tangy palate. Finish of soft lemon, bit more tangy lemon in finish
Overall - Very simple beer, easy, refreshing, decent enough but got bored by the end of the pint..... ok up from 11 to 12 (JDW elgin) (120313)
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 tombyars (1204) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - OCT 27, 2012
First tasted this at Esquire House, Glasgow in October 2012. Cask, handpump dispense. Crystal clear pale straw in colour with a thin white head. Wheaty cereal note in the very short aroma. Thin but refreshing mouthfeel and good lacing throughout. Pale malt gives a sharp citric base with a tart lemon rind note full in the mouth. Citric flavours continues with lemony hops present in the resiny and slightly floral aftertaste. Finish is fruity and astringent with lemon peel and dry dusty hops still evident at the end. A decent session pilsner - Tennents take note on how it should be done!

Cask by handpump at Bon Accord, Glasgow (18 May 12) - very pale yellow ale, thin white head, good temperature, floral hop aroma, grassy / floral hop, then mild citrus, moderate carbonation

Cask gravity, Coventry BF, 13/04/12. Handsome, bright gold body with a thick tuft of foam. Curry leaf, urinal cake, pine aroma. Drying, full, buttered lemon flavour with finishing biscuit. Almost Sorachi. Rubbery, almond tones as from a much stronger lager; vanilla. Not wholly convinced.

Cask at the Malt and Hops. I didn’t think much of this, it’s not much of a pilsner. Some hoppy bitterness and not much else.

Cask at The Malt & Hops. Golden brown with white head. Doesn’t taste like pilsner. Malty sweet and bitter.

Cask at The Grill, Aberdeen, Scotland.
Clear pale yellow colour with small white head.
Yeast and mild grassy hops in aroma.
Grassy hops, biscuit and malt in flavour. Sweet cookies and grassy hops put together. Smooth. Hoppiness in aftertaste.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Scopey (3243) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 20, 2011
Cask at the Grill, Aberdeen. It pours slightly hazy straw yellow, with a big, fluffy white head. The nose is white bread, toasted malt, hay and floral. The taste is lemon, lime, toasted white bread, straw, hay, soap, floral and light honey sweetness, with a light bitter finish. Light body and soft carbonation. A refreshing, easy drinking cask light ale.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 15, 2011
Cask at Cloisters. Pours a blonde colour with a thick white head. Aroma of lemon, caramel and barley. Similar flavours with a very dry lemon finish. More citric than your average pilsner.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 imdownthepub (8470) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 16, 2011
Cask conditioned at The Oxford Bar, Edinburgh. Gold with white head. For a pilsner ale crossover this came over really quite well, oily lemony hops on a light, biscuit malt background. Pretty decent.
