doubelknv3 (439), Illinois, USA Jun 21, 2008 Tasting notes from 2003 Harbury beer festival. Hop, bitter finish. Pale Golden with white head. Fruit, floral, grass, and hop aroma notes. Grass, mild fruit, and balancing hop notes. Dry, decent session. M0RHI (983), Luxembourg, Luxembourg Nov 23, 2007 Cask, Aikmans Cellar Bar, St Andrews. Clear yellowy gold with a thin white head. Lots of biscuit and seaweed in the nose, with some maltiness, but some weird grain that distracts. Mouth is salty seaweed with some refreshing hop and lagery malt taste with some added biscuit. Quite lively and refreshing towards the end. Rastacouere (5189), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Sep 27, 2007 Clear golden ale with a sparkler’s 2cm white foam. Hoppy, mineral, salty, herbal and flowery nose where grainy malts stay shadowed. Lean bodied, foamy texture. Mild refreshing acidity. Very, very simple, but rather effective golden ale. oh6gdx (4910), Vaasa, Finland Aug 15, 2007 Cask. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is eggs, vegetables, fruity hops and some wooden hints. Flavour is the same with some rather sweet fruity notes and zest. Aftertaste is mainly fruits and yeast. A quite nice one to the flavour. vadersnightcap (74), Scotland Aug 11, 2007 Cask,
Firstly it was a gorgeous summers night and i enjoyed this outside in a beer garden.
Really enjoyable, thirst quenching and eminantly drinkable.
some great apricot and peach flavours that combine well with the reidual malt finsih.
perhaps lacking a little bit of body and hit but good none the less.
