Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Changed name from Latitude Pale Ale to Latitude Pilsner.
NOTE: Only ratings for the cask version here. The bottled version is pasteurised and has a separate entry.
Available in cask (described as "Cask Pilsner"), and in bottle ("Highland Pilsner"), this beer is a delicious straw-coloured session beer, dominated by crisp, fresh, citrus hop character from classic German "noble hops".
Brewed with a balance of best British Ale Malt and Lager Malt, this beer exhibits a pale straw colour. The aroma combines a zesty attack and an apricot fruitiness with the subtle floral hop notes of the Styrian Golding, Saaz and Hallertauer Hersbrucker hops.
Moderate levels of residual sweetness are balanced by a crisp, well-rounded bitterness to give a clean, refreshing mouthfeel in the best traditions of pilsners – pint after pint!

Tasting notes from 2003 Harbury beer festival. Hop, bitter finish. Pale Golden with white head. Fruit, floral, grass, and hop aroma notes. Grass, mild fruit, and balancing hop notes. Dry, decent session.

A very enjoyable cask ale. Nice hazy gold/yellow colour. Nice long bitter finish. A great beer on a Sunday afternoon.

Cask, Aikmans Cellar Bar, St Andrews. Clear yellowy gold with a thin white head. Lots of biscuit and seaweed in the nose, with some maltiness, but some weird grain that distracts. Mouth is salty seaweed with some refreshing hop and lagery malt taste with some added biscuit. Quite lively and refreshing towards the end.

Clear golden ale with a sparkler’s 2cm white foam. Hoppy, mineral, salty, herbal and flowery nose where grainy malts stay shadowed. Lean bodied, foamy texture. Mild refreshing acidity. Very, very simple, but rather effective golden ale.
