Available in cask (described as "Cask Pilsner"), and in bottle ("Highland Pilsner"), this beer is a delicious straw-coloured session beer, dominated by crisp, fresh, citrus hop character from classic German "noble hops".
Brewed with a balance of best British Ale Malt and Lager Malt, this beer exhibits a pale straw colour. The aroma combines a zesty attack and an apricot fruitiness with the subtle floral hop notes of the Styrian Golding, Saaz and Hallertauer Hersbrucker hops.
Moderate levels of residual sweetness are balanced by a crisp, well-rounded bitterness to give a clean, refreshing mouthfeel in the best traditions of pilsners – pint after pint!

0.5l bottle. This is a light cloudy one, kinda pale and golden in color with a really lacing white head. Smells alright actually. Grainy a really floral with hints of sawdust and hops. Some heather honey has also made its way in to the aroma. A faint fruity hint within there as well. It has a quite pleasant licorice hint in the taste that took me by surprise. Has to be the hp combo that’s fooling me. Not full-bodied but it’s definitely not watery either. A nice floral flavor also. Soft grainy with more of that sawdust. Can remind a little bit of a non alco beverage but it has a little honey sweetness and fruity flavor that goes nice along with the rest of the flavors. A little metallic and old hoppy flavor in the finish and aftertaste. No horrible beer this. 11.04.2014

Bottle. The Bottle may have been a bit old, but I wouldn’t have liked this fresh. Weird cloudy colour and super skunky taste.

Lightly opalescent golden coloured with a fine lightly creamy white head. On the nose aromas of floral, citrus hops develop. The taste is lightly sweet developping a floral light bitterness which hover in balance on the palate. The taste is crisp, fresh with a snappy touch and offers a rather soft even nearly creamy texture. The finish is well balanced with a noticeable but not abrasive hop biterness, lasting medium long.
