COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Available in cask (described as "Cask Pilsner"), and in bottle ("Highland Pilsner"), this beer is a delicious straw-coloured session beer, dominated by crisp, fresh, citrus hop character from classic German "noble hops".
Brewed with a balance of best British Ale Malt and Lager Malt, this beer exhibits a pale straw colour. The aroma combines a zesty attack and an apricot fruitiness with the subtle floral hop notes of the Styrian Golding, Saaz and Hallertauer Hersbrucker hops.
Moderate levels of residual sweetness are balanced by a crisp, well-rounded bitterness to give a clean, refreshing mouthfeel in the best traditions of pilsners – pint after pint!

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 3.9%. Crystal clear pale golden colour, big and lasting white head. Moderate but pleasant aroma of Styrian Goldings (+ Saazer and Hallertauer Hersbrücker) hops, citrussy and floral notes. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour is more like a golden ale than the "pilsner" it claims to be - which is not a bad thing for me. Distinct hops throughout, balanced by just the right sweetness. Some fruit and a lovely bitterness, lasting through the long aftertaste. A nice little beer this one.

500 ml bottle from Meny Liertoppen. Fluffy white head leaving fine laces. Shiny golden colored body. Dusty and light grassy hops, dry grainy malts and a faint lemon scent to the nose. A light sweet malt body paired with a fair amount of earthy and sharp fruity bittering hops. Mouthfeel is crisp. Almost resiny bitterness in the finish. A highly drinkable and moreish light-weighter.

500ml bottle picked up at Luvians in St Andrews. Bright golden body under a quickly diminishing white head. Perfumed fruity smell. Light fruits and oily hops with a smooth bitter ending. Dry in the mouth. Light palate, but still a decent pilsner [31.10.2008]

Sampled at Lowry Park Wazoo in August 2008. Nice classic style pilsner. Not much to it though--weak in strength and somewhat sour.
