2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Clear yellowy gold with no head but heavy glass carbonation. Nose is malty, with lots of floral hop, much more maltier than in cask. Mouth is very much the same one-dimensional, until right at the end where some grassy tones and some sticky golden syrup creeps in. Nice, much better than on cask.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled (thanks cgarvieuk). Orange colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is caramel malts along with fudge and some flowery hops. Flavour is caramel malts, some toffee and grassy hops. Big toffeeish grass in aftertaste. Pleasant and quite pleasant for being a blond/golden ale.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled (BB 10/2008)
Pale, slightly hazy yellow color, small white head, some lace. Caramelly malty, slightly yeast-like notes and nutty hops in the nose. Pale malty flavor, dominated by toffee, not much hops, more almonds and nuts. Light version of APA. Wonder what "resembles the famous Kölsch beers of Cologne" is about - much more caramelly than any Kölsch.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Wonderful nose - the rest was a slight let down.
The malty sweetness is unuasual for a blonde beer - the beer almost starts off as a bitter then morphs into a blonde fruity finish.
Eminantly drinkable though.
This brewery makes good beers.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottles from the cave. Aroma was a bit minimal, state buttery malts, grassy hops. Taste is balanced but lacking any character, dull an lifeless.

Golden with a white head. Aroma is roasted malt with marmalade sweetness. Taste is gently sweet with a slight citric flavour and a light hoppiness. Pretty good bottled beer.

Bottled from Tesco. They have a good range of new scottish ales worth checking out. Quite deep golden colour. Loads of toffe in the nose, toffee and ripe fruit flavor with some hoppiness to finish. A nice beer with enough to set it apart from others in a similar style. Clean and fresh tasting.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle, picked up SH Jones, Bicester. Golden in colour quite clear with a busy white frothy head. Aroma was a touch yeasty, wheaty and flavour disappointed a tad as promise of aroma never quite carried on through, still there was a reasonable level of bitterness and whilst not great it wasn’t a bad effort.
