Clear golden colour, medium white head. Aroma is hoppy, fruity and creamy. Flavour has grapefruit and citrus, along with a smooth buttery creaminess. A very Belgian styled blonde ale. Nice one!
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 1, 2012
Brown 500ml bottle, best before Feb 2010, drank Mar 09. Poured into a pint sized vase shaped glass.
Looked like a good pilsner, but with a bigger head. A deep golden yellow colour, with bubbles rising up to the well formed and impressive head.
Very little aroma for me, not even any hop esters or malts. The label claims three different types of hops are used, obviously none of them are for aroma, they don’t name them.
The hops don’t come into the taste much either, there is a hint of citrus fruits and the beer is fairly dry and crisp, but not hoppy in any shape or form, unless my tastebuds have left me again.
Drinkable and un-offensive, is about the best I can say about it. No heavy body or richness to it, just a warm day beer. It wasn’t as good as it looked.

El sabor es bastante áspero y de amargo seco. En boca níspero y albaricoque verde. Cuerpo y carbonatación medios. Final oleoso y terrosos. Vale la pena probarla.

Bottled, 500ml from The George & Abbotsford Hotel Bottle Shop, Melrose, Borders. Hazy gold with white head. Quite floral and promising on the nose leading to a light, nicely hoped, flowery beer. Some lemon fruitiness, a little rose water on the palate. Easy and really quite pleasant.

Crisp and dry golden ale. Disappointing aroma, nice soft balance between malt flavour and hop bitterness. Hints of citrus. Drinkable but not stunning.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 mile (1445) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 11, 2011
Bottle. Golden, small and fully diminishing head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, some grassy hoppyness and alcohol, faint fruitiness and caramel. Body is medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, some grassy hoppyness, faint toffee. Finish is average, malty and dryish, grassy hoppyness, faint toffee and alcohol. Lightly sweetish golden ale – could use more hoppyness and less alcohol.
