Tasted this in the Saltcot, Saltcoats (JDW) in November 2005. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear amber in colour with a thin white head. Fragrant floral hops in the long aroma. Thin but refreshing mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give full sweet fruit notes of juicy mango, clemantine and lemon zest. Spicy hops present in the short aftertaste but fruit dominates the finish with sweet flavours. A refreshing summer session ale.

Cask@Twickenham Beer festival. Slightly wheaty malt characters, after all it is a wheat beer. The odd thing is that it had a quite a butterscotchy/caramel sweetness, which i don’t really expect to taste in a wheat beer. A bit on the sweet side. wasn’t bad, but its just not whta i expected from a wheat beer.

Myt work has got this in as part of thier beer festival starting next week. Aroma is lightly fruity with a decent amoutn fo the clove/wheat associated with these beers. Taste is similar with the malt of the ale coming through more and more, though clovey wheat and maybe some fruits having a wee say too, reaosnably sweetish finish. One of the better british wheat beers anywa, not that there is that many.

UPDATED: FEB 7, 2006 Well, an Ale Wheat Beer. Anyway, it was nice, but I think the wheat was hidden behind the Ale normal flavor.

Gravesend Fest. Seasonal cloudy wheat. Slightly sour, acidic aroma. Muted flavours - soft, a bit sweaty - some citric fruit. A little hint of cider. Not impressed. Infected?

Hand pulled at the Anchor, Birmingham during their "Wheat Weekend". Very nice gold/brown colour. Very tasty - creamy, slightly raspberry bitterness. Thinnish, but smooth. Quite a sweet finish, with just enough tart to take the edge off.
