COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Seasonal - June to August.
Wayfarer India Pale Ale (4.4% abv) is a brilliant golden ale with a dry, refreshing bitterness, in the style made famous by Scottish and English brewers’ exports to slake the thirsts of the Raj.
Small amounts of Crystal Malt, Caramalt and Atlas Malted Wheat are added to our best Pale Ale Malt to give this beer its distinctive caramel-and-biscuit maltiness. This, together with a spiciness from Bramling Cross hops, dominates the appealing nose.
On the palate, the Bramling Cross hops and our yeast combine to produce a distinctive yet delicate orange-marmalade taste.
The aftertaste is dominated by a strong but smooth bitterness, which gives this beer a clean, refreshing finish.

Clear lively golden beer. Light citrus aroma, taste is hop and zesty fruit. Pleasant for a warm day but unremarkable.

Aroma: Straw, light citrus, pine and biscuit.

Appearance: Clear golden body with a medium off-white head. Average carbonation. Light lacing.

Taste: Beautifully balanced. Nice burst of lemon and peachy fruit notes. Freshly cut grass with biscuit flavours in there too. Sweet malt and soft hop bitterness.

Palate: Thin to medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Gentle carbonation fizz.

Overall: Arguably more of a golden ale than an IPA, but it’s very bright and tasty. I’m a big fan of beers from the Orkney Brewery.

Marmalade body and a squeeze of a sturdy white head. Nice and dry crumbly hop hit on the initial taste that works a breakfast cereal bar sweetness on the palate. A really neat tang on the finish with just the right hit of bitter tartness.

Probably their most consisent, flagship brew for me over the years, although only a summer brew. Pleased that it still stands up under the Rate spotlight.

Hazy gold in appearance. Tropical fruit on the nose. Taste is all about the bittering hops which smack of pineapple and grapefruit. A little bit thin to be perfect. Some more malt would add a touch of sweetness too. But still a great session beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[Cask at the William Robert Loosley (JDW), High Wycombe] Gold, small white head. Flowers up front, nicely balanced against the sweet caramel malt behind. Lemon develops in the dry finish. Very nice, refreshing & tasty.

Cask conditioned handpump Eastgate Northampton. A golden beer with a white head. A good citrussy beer. Sharp bitterness. Good hop flavours which pronounce themselves above the malt. A tasty citrus fruity beer.
