355 mL can from Cheryl (Panama vacation), served almost cold in a tulip glass. AP19/07.
App.: Light straw, clear, largish white head.
Aroma: Surprised by herbaceous, peppery hops – not intense, but pleasant; funky wet grain/cereal after that; light sulphur notes.
Palate: Medium-light body and fairly lively carbonation.
Flav.: TONS of cardboard, light saltine cracker; a little corn-based breakfast cereal on swallowing, nothing on the aftertaste.
Badly oxidized – a shame.

Atlas is a little darker and maltier but not in a real enjoyable way just kind of different for the area. Not my favorite.

From my dear roommate: Pours straw color with a small white head. Aroma is of corn and not very much else. Taste is slightly sweet with some bread. I drank this as a chaser for taking vodka shots and this worked out pretty well for that, but as everyone is probably aware, this beer is not really made for sipping. I didn’t find it offensive though.

Had this way back in the day in Boquete. The taste was foul, a sour corn mix with alcohol and an antiseptic finish. Panama had some bad beers and this was the worst of them.

Yellow with white head and lace. Aroma of wet paper and corn. Paper and corn with a tart dry finish. Thin and watery. not much flavor.

both on the nose and the taste a lot of bread/doughy notes (where are the hops)

Thanks to my brother for bringing me a can from Panama. The body is pale gold with a large bright white head. The nose has some strong bread along with notes of cooked green beans. There is also a little bit of bell pepper. The taste has some raw dough notes dominating a few metallic hints. There is not much else to taste. Good if you like a raw bread dough flavor, like it wasn’t fully fermented without any bitter hops to balance it out.

An unabashed swill, and "only" 3.8%. But at buck a bottle in the canal zone, any beer was welcome. Urine-looking, virtually no head, and a watery taste. This was not very good.

Crystal clear blonde with decent head. Crisp clean aroma of light malted grain. Flavor is exceptionally clean and crisp. Very refreshing. Not much character, but hits the spot in wilting weather.
