3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 KnutAlbert (5186) - Oslo, - DEC 1, 2011Hazy brown, lots of yeasty residue. Some fruityness.
Echoes of a brown from the low countries, but there is nothing to get excited about here. This brewery needs to look for its own identity.

Bottle, enjoyed at home.
Dark brown in color, big offwhite head.
Aroma of sweet malts, cloves and banana. The taste confirms the sweet malt with caramel, combined with fruit and yeast notes. A bit shy bitterness but still not bad. One of the better I’ve had from Atna I think.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Skinnyviking (5956) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 17, 2012
Courtesy of Rune. Bottle. High creamy and good looking lasting off-white head. Hazy dark red brown body. Sweet roasted malt caramel honey cocoa fruity aroma. A bit thinbodied and watery roasted malt cocoa caramel flavor with more bitterness than expected. High carbonation. Short aftertaste. Alcohol level just right.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Foffern (737) - Bodø, NORWAY - APR 27, 2012
Bottle at home. Pours a deep reddish brown colour with a medium light beige head. In the aroma I find smoke, wild berries, leather, nuts, wood, and nutmeg. More wood and leather in the flavour along with bitter berries and oak. Feels a bit sour. Slightly thin mouth feel but is also slick. One of a kind beer with a touch norwegian forest.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Maria (9570) - Thisted, DENMARK - APR 15, 2012
It’s mahogany red with a huge, creamy, golden head. The aroma has notes of yeast, roasted malt, caramel and a little fruit. The flavor is roasted bitter-sweet with notes of roasted malt, caramel, yeast and a little fruit/berries, and the finish is bitter berry like. Not overwhelmingly big bodied....

Bottle, 6.3%. The flavour is mildly roasted with a little yeast. Tastes like a roughly roasted German Dunkelweizen. Cloudy dark brown colour. Small white head. The bitterness is quite rough and actually also unpleasant.
